Practices, policies, procedures – often, these terms cause people to recoil in boredom, or even anxiety. But best practice simply means the best way to proceed in most circumstances. Developing best practices gives you peace of mind by knowing how to proceed in any situation, and for proceeding gracefully when ethical, legal, or otherwise sticky issues arise. Combining instruction, group discussion, and problem-solving, this session empowers you to meet all legal, ethical, and moral challenges you may encounter. Course is for 1 CFRE credit 7:30 a.m. Breakfast Buffet & Networking 8:00 a.m. Presentation

Kathryne is a planned giving professional who values developing deep and meaningful relationships with donors. She has 17 years of experience in the sector, including working for the University of Manitoba, The Winnipeg Foundation, and now Ducks Unlimited Canada. Kathryne has served on the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners in a variety of roles and emceed the 2017 CAGP national conference in Winnipeg.

Along with her passion for helping philanthropic people create legacies, Kathryne is a also a professional writer, children's book author, and book reviewer.
