Professional Development Roadmap

FOR CHARITY-BASED GIFT PLANNERS

The CAGP Professional Development Roadmap for Gift Planners was created as a guide for gift planners and fundraisers alike to help their journey to becoming a successful charitable gift planner. The roadmap serves to identify, by years of relevant experience, the array of training courses, professional development, networking opportunities, products and services provided by CAGP to its members in support of their development as a professional. 

The National Education Committee has also developed the Competency Framework for Charity-Based Gift Planners, which serves as a checklist to identify those skills the user may already have and those they wish to pursue as they decide on future professional development opportunities.

FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVISORS

The CAGP Professional Development Roadmap for Professional Advisors was created as a guide to help their journey to becoming a successful philanthropic advisor. The roadmap serves to identify, by years of relevant experience, the array of training courses, professional development, networking opportunities, products and services provided by CAGP to its members in support of their development as a professional. 

The National Education Committee has also developed the Competency Framework for Professional Advisors, which serves as a checklist to identify those skills the user may already have and those they wish to pursue as they decide on future professional development opportunities.
