Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) – Embracing the Opportunity

Tabs

Event Info
Summary:

A presentation on what a donor-advised fund is, why donors choose them, real examples, and addressing potential challenges.

Donor-advised funds are a growing tool in the charitable giving landscape.  The number of donors using them, donor-advised fund assets, and the gifts from donor-advised funds are on the rise.

At their best, donor-advised funds can decrease giving friction, enhance generosity, and be an effective estate and tax planning tool.

On the other hand, they can be perceived to reduce charitable impact, and limit donor stewardship and recognition.

To unpack this further, we will share:

  • What a donor-advised fund is
  • Why donors use them
  • Share real case studies
  • Address potential challenges
