Prospecting Off the Side of Your Desk
Gift planning works to bring people together step by step. The specific tactics and strategies associated with each step are designed to encourage potential donors to move at their own pace with and toward like-minded individuals who are also considering gifts via their Will. This type of prospect/donor engagement is not only specialized because the nature of this giving is typically highly interactive and personal, it is also often emotional as prospects and donors are thinking about and discussing their own mortality as well as what their personal legacies might achieve after their passing.
Gift planning is about inspiring people and sharing stories of the impact realized estate gifts have on your charity/non-profit. All you really want or need to do is connect with your charity’s friends and prospects through discovery and meaningful discussions.
