Christine Kang

Associate Director, Gift & Estate Planning, SickKids Foundation

Christine Kang is passionate about planned giving, the power of philanthropy, and balancing the art and science of fundraising. In addition to working on all stages of the fundraising cycle at the donor and program levels, she also has experience working on strategies for life insurance, professional advisors, and digital marketing. Christine has held progressive roles at SickKids Foundation and is currently Associate Director, Gift & Estate Planning. She is active as a mentor, peer support worker, and employee resource group member at her organization. Prior to discovering her love for gift planning, Christine previously worked in the financial services sector where she held various roles in reporting, strategy, communications, and project management. In her free time, Christine enjoys volunteering at church, cultivating herself into a tea connoisseur, and supporting Toronto sports teams (go Leafs go!). 

Nadine Fowler’s position

VP Philanthropy, Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation

As a founding member of the Women In Philanthropy program at Queensway Carleton Hospital, Nadine has enjoyed working with other women who focus their philanthropy on advancing healthcare in west Ottawa.  Since the group was launched four years ago, members have contributed over $300,000 for urgent healthcare priorities in our region. In addition to being part of this inspired and inspiring group of women, Nadine volunteers with CAGP Ottawa, and helps lead the QCH Foundation team to raise Planned, Major, Mid-level and Annual donations to improve patient care at Queensway Carleton Hospital.   

Susan Jackson

VP of Volunteer Talent Management and Israel, UJA

Ms. Susan Jackson is currently the VP of Volunteer Talent Management and Israel and Overseas of UJA Federation. Her career began 40 years AGO with the Canadian Jewish Congress. Susan speaks across North America on subjects including, Jewish Identity, Israel, Education, volunteerism and leadership. Prior to her current role she served as Executive Director of Women’s Philanthropy – UJA, Integrated Development Officer – UJA, Executive Director of the Centre for Jewish Knowledge and Heritage -UJA, Director of Community Planning, Culture, Continuity - Israel and Overseas – Project Renewal and Partnership 2000 – UJA, Director of Education, Youth Activities and Community Services for Canadian Jewish Congress. Having held a variety of senior positions over the last 40 years, Susan is fond of saying, “I have run everything except the accounting and technology departments and believe me, I am never going to run those!” Her other most quoted line when asked what she does for a living she says, “I save the Jewish People”!
